A 20-year apprenticeship in the craft
Most opticians sell frames. Visio Optical makes them. After two decades of restoring, repainting and re-engineering some of the finest spectacles in the world, the Holland Village atelier has folded that craftsmanship into a fully bespoke service, placing Singapore, for the first time, on the same map as the ateliers of Paris and London.
Every frame is designed, measured, cut, shaped, polished and assembled entirely by hand, under one roof, in Singapore. No outsourcing. No drop-shipped blanks. One client, one pair, one piece in the world.

Step inside and the process begins not with a frame, but with a conversation. The consultation is unhurried, closer to a tailor’s first fitting than an optical appointment.
From there, the journey unfolds across several visits. Twelve to fifteen reference points are mapped across the face, the bridge of the nose, the angle of the temples, the curve of the cheekbones.
The frame is built around this geometry, not the other way around. Shape, proportion and silhouette are sketched together with the craftsmen, dialled in millimetre by millimetre.
Materials are chosen from sheets of high-grade Italian cellulose acetate laid out the way a tailor presents bolts of cloth.
When the frame is ready, a final face fitting refines every last fraction of a degree until the result is, as most clients describe it, a pair of glasses you cannot feel.
