The airline's newest route to Seattle makes the Emerald City the fifth US destination in the network
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is further expanding its reach in the US by introducing non-stop flights from Singapore to Seattle on 3 September 2019. These will initially be operated three times a week before increasing to four times a week in October 2019.
The capital of Washington State will become the fifth American city on the SIA network and the fourth to be served non-stop from Singapore. The new route will use the Airbus A350-900 aircraft, fitted with 253 seats in Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class.
Seattle, located on the Pacific Northwest coast of the US, is famous as both a tech hub – Microsoft and Amazon both have offices there – and for the beauty of its natural surroundings. Here, you can grab a coffee from the original Starbucks before going whale-watching in Puget Sound and taking a hike up Mount Rainier – all in the same day.
With the introduction of the Seattle route, SIA’s total flight frequency to the US will increase to 57 per week. The new service will complement the airline’s existing US services to Houston, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
SIA recently introduced daily non-stop flights between Singapore and New York (Newark), and Singapore and Los Angeles using Airbus A350-900ULR (ultra-long-range) aircraft. The former has the distinction of being the longest non-stop flight in the world.
