Every year, the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX transforms the city into one of the world’s most exhilarating destinations. Here’s how to experience the race weekend beyond the chequered flag
Every city has its signature weekend. In Singapore, it’s the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX.
From Oct 9-11, 2026, Marina Bay hosts the sport’s original night race, where drivers take on the 4.94km street circuit against the backdrop of Singapore’s iconic skyline.
Off the track, the city comes alive with extended dining hours, rooftop parties, live entertainment and a vibrant festival atmosphere, drawing visitors from around the world.
As title sponsor of the Race, Singapore Airlines connects travellers to one of the highlights of the global sporting calendar.
Beyond the grandstands
Once you’ve checked in, many race weekend highlights are within easy reach. Stay at Fairmont Singapore for selected rooms overlooking Turns 7 and 8 of the circuit, or book Marina Bay Sands, where the SkyPark Observation Deck offers panoramic views of the illuminated city skyline.
As the sun sets, rooftop favourites such as Cé La Vi, Skai and Mo Bar are ideal for pre- or post-race cocktails. Reservations are highly recommended.
For those on the ground, the Singapore Airlines Fan Village at the Grand Prix offers a race-themed experience with F1 simulators, exclusive merchandise, photo opportunities with SIA cabin crew, and interactive seat displays. Located in Zone 4 near the Esplanade and Padang, it brings fans closer to the action.
Race by day, revel by night
The FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2026 features more than 170 hours of entertainment across 10 stages, with performances by top stars including Lana Del Rey, The Killers, Janet Jackson, Mark Ronson, Zara Larsson, James Arthur and Singapore’s own JJ Lin, alongside dozens of international and regional acts.
From the neon-lit Garage Stage to the waterfront Waterside Stage, the circuit transforms into one of Asia’s biggest live entertainment venues after dark.
For those not ready to call it a night, the celebrations continue beyond the circuit. Exclusive after-parties such as Amber Lounge Singapore have long been among the weekend’s hottest tickets, drawing international personalities, celebrities and visitors long after the final concert ends.
A little more Singapore
Thankfully, race days don’t require an early start. Recharge with a stroll through Gardens by the Bay, explore the National Gallery Singapore, or enjoy dinner at Clarke Quay before heading back to Marina Bay. For a behind-the-scenes look, keep an eye out for the FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX 2026 All Access programme, which grants entry to normally restricted areas of the F1 Pit Building, including the podium and Race Control.
With Singapore Airlines’ extensive global network and convenient flight schedules, it’s easy to extend your stay and experience more of Singapore after the race weekend.
