To immerse oneself in a kaleidoscope of Arabic color and pattern, head to the Bar Dubai Souk, which specializes in textiles and exotic fabrics. Bolts of fine cashmere, satin and silk are available, as well as items from Indian saris to Persian carpets. Visitors can even order custom garments that can usually be constructed within a few days. The souk also sells the classic shoes with the curled toes, often associated in the West with Aladdin.
