Paris has its booksellers along the Seine, and Madrid has wooden stalls at the Cuesta de Moyano.
This permanent, open-air book fair founded in 1925 runs along a pedestrian avenue connected to El Retiro Park and the Botanic Gardens.
Here, a few dozen booksellers – including children and grandchildren of the fair’s founders – deal rare, second-hand and out-of-print books spanning philosophy, history, literature and more.
