Keya Beach

If you’re looking to experience the nature surrounding Fukuoka, a day trip to Keya Beach is just the ticket. This sandy shore is a 45-minute drive or a 1.5-hour train and bus ride from central Fukuoka. The protected inlet is perfect for swimming and snorkelling, while beachside shops hawk food and drinks during the summer months. The beach also hosts a number of festivals from summer through fall. This includes a fireworks display in July and a music festival in September.
