For a change in texture, Keratin Smoothing starts at Rp900,000 (approximately $65), while a Permanent Blowout starts at Rp1,300,000 (approximately $93).
There’s plenty beyond hair, too. From manicures and pedicures from Rp250,000 (approximately $18) and lash extensions from Rp390,000 (approximately $28), to hydrafacials and lymphatic face massage at Rp350,000 (approximately $25). At the May May Sanctuary outlet, a full-body massage starts from Rp350,000 (approximately $25).
The highlights
Home to the first Kérastase Head Spa, JUNE by May May at Grand Indonesia is the May May location to know for dedicated hair and scalp treatments. Located on the third floor of the East Mall, it also offers private rooms for guests who wear the hijab or prefer greater privacy.
The Kérastase Ritual, from Rp650,000 (approximately $46), begins with an assessment of the hair and scalp before suitable Kérastase products are selected. Treatments cater to concerns including sensitive or oily scalps, dandruff, hair fall, colour-treated hair and dryness.
Another highlight is the Head Onsen (or Waterfall Head Spa) at Rp750,000 (approximately $53). The 23-step, 90-minute head and body treatment uses premium Kérastase products alongside Mount Lai jade tools. Hair and scalp care is complemented by massage for the head, shoulders, hands and feet, a lymphatic face massage, plus hot stones.
