Long Museum

There are two branches of this private art gallery in Shanghai – one in the West Bund area and another over the Huangpu river in Pudong – and both are among the hottest places to see both traditional and contemporary art in the city. The West Bund venue, designed by Shanghai practice Atelier Deshaus, is particularly stunning, with architectural features that pay homage to the site’s history as a wharf for coal transportation.
