Feature image for The Sebel Brisbane

A modern seaside hotel located on Brisbane’s Moreton Bay waterfront

The exterior of The Sebel

1. The best views of the peninsula

Each guestroom comes with a private balcony, allowing you to take in stunning oceanfront views at all hours of the day and perhaps even catch a rare sighting of breaching whales through winter and early spring (July to October). Take advantage of the hotel’s complimentary bicycle-lending programme to explore the full length of the peninsula, from Woody Point all the way to Scarborough.

Inside the hotel's Junior Suite

2. Classic meets contemporary

In the guestrooms, you’ll find plush Italian leather lounge seating crafted by Danish company Wendelbo Interiors as well as nostalgic black-and-white images dating back to the 1920s – which were sourced from the local library’s heritage records – juxtaposed against industrial-style furnishings rendered in steel grey and gold.

An unforgettable sunset

3. One of the area’s only rooftop terraces

The hotel’s breezy rooftop terrace features a fully stocked bar, landscaped gardens and an outdoor pool. Private nooks come complete with long dining tables or timber and white-cushioned lounge chairs – perfect for indulging in an evening cocktail.

Delicious fresh seafood

4. Modern Australian fare whipped up with fresh ingredients

The on-site nautical-themed restaurant boasts a timber wraparound deck, unobstructed views of Moreton Bay and a menu that draws on the region’s bounty of fresh produce. Standout items include the pork belly sharing plate, hearty grilled wagyu cheeseburger and salt and pepper calamari.
