Despite two years filled with obstacles, Singapore is brimming with cool new things to do. Take a look at all of 2022's exciting and quirky openings

Despite all of the challenges we have had to face throughout the pandemic, exciting new openings have continued to pop up across Singapore. From themed-museums filled with edible treats to cycling on water and muddy adventures, here are seven spots waiting to be checked out.

Take a ride on the SkyHelix Sentosa

SkyHelix Sentosa is Singapore’s highest open-air panoramic ride. The gondola rotates in a gentle spiral motion as it ascends 35m above ground. Once at the top, guests can enjoy 360-degree views of Sentosa, Keppel Bay and the Southern Islands.

Satisfy your sweet tooth at the Museum of Ice Cream

Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) began as a pop-up in New York in 2016. It has since expanded to several other American cities and made its Singapore debut in August. Spread across five buildings in Dempsey, the outlet spans 60,000 sq ft. The life-sized dessert-themed installations include giant ice cream cones, a tunnel filled with rubber bananas and MOIC’s largest sprinkle pool yet. The unicorn playground was inspired by old-school Singapore’s dragon playgrounds and serves as one of the many amazing Instagram backdrops. Stop off in the American-style diner to listen to tunes from the jukebox and enjoy different types of ice cream being served at installations throughout the museum.

Noodle lovers unite at Slurping Good! - Instant Noodle Themed Playground

Those seeking a more savoury exhibition can visit Slurping Good! The instant-noodle themed museum has 13 interactive zones spread across two levels. Think giant noodles hanging from the ceiling, rooms filled with all of your favourite toppings, and fun slides fit for both children and adults. After visiting the colourful gift shop, guests can customise a bowl of noodles at the Soul Good Noodle Bar and enjoy them over at Eatbox.

Ride on water at Waterbike Adventure

Hop on a bike that’s been attached to what looks like a catamaran and speed around at up to 15km per hour. Waterbike Adventures begin at Campsite 1 in Pasir Ris Park. Bikers will be provided with a life jacket, storage dry bag, walkie talkie and sent on their way –guided tours can be arranged as well. This beach park in the eastern part of Singapore is home to a lovely mangrove forest walking trail, where you’ll find a three-storey bird watching tower.

Kids hit the road at Mud Krank

Get muddy and have lots of fun on an off-road ATV adventure right here in Singapore. Located on a farm near Kranji, Mud Krank invites children as young as four to have a ride on one of the customised trails. Stop by Hay Dairies Goat Farm for a chance to feed the friendly farm animals and have lunch at Bollywood Veggies.

Enjoy nature with the family at COMO Adventure Cove

Part of the Gallop Extension at Singapore Botanic Gardens, the nature-themed COMO Adventure Cove has been a great addition to the Unesco World Heritage Site. Kids can climb up a structure that resembles a Banyan tree, swing from branch-like ropes and swings, and slide down long tube slides.
