Town Hall Hotel & Apartments

A local authority building in the early 1900s has since been restored to its former Art Deco glory – think wood panelling and stained glass – and enhanced with stylish, Modernist furniture. Today, it’s among London’s most fashionable hotels, and one that has received plenty of attention for its sophisticated aesthetic. The rooms range from simple doubles to a suite with triple-height ceilings and a grand piano. There are three excellent restaurants on-site, too: Typing Room (an upscale restaurant dishing up inventive European fare), Elis (Brazilian-Italian) and Assembly Lounge (a more informal joint).
