Opened in 1901, Schauspielhaus Zürich’s historic 750-seat theatre has staged landmark productions for more than a century, including world premieres by Bertolt Brecht and works by Swiss playwrights Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt.
Also known as the Pfauenbühne, the theatre today runs an eclectic programme spanning theatre, dance and performance, with English translations provided for every performance.
