House signature Classic Rosu Tonkatsu Set ($29 for 150g) is the more indulgent choice; the Osaka-style ‘fatty loin’ is prized for its rich marbling. The leaner Classic Hire Tonkatsu Set ($29 for 120g) is succulent and flavourful, thanks to the masterful preparation. There’s also an option to top it with the In-House Special Japanese Curry Sauce ($5), but it’s perfect on its own.
Sake here is served in the theatrical Mokkiri Overflowing Style, where the server pours until the liquid spills into the wooden masu the cup is placed in, so lean into the tradition and take a hands-free sip.
