The heritage brand’s Resort World Sentosa outpost is its most fully realised to date, featuring an expanded menu, indoor and outdoor seating, and even a merchandise counter stocked with plushies and T-shirts. Besides its enduring favourites, diners will also find newer additions that aren’t always available at the Hilton Singapore Orchard flagship, such as the crowd-favourite Chilli Crab, featuring fresh, meaty Sri Lankan mud crabs, as well as stir-fried prawns with palm sauce.
The signature dish remains the renowned Mandarin Chicken Rice, featuring tender and flavourful steamed free-range chicken and rice fragranced with chicken fat. It has stayed impressively consistent for over five decades, and, according to the restaurant, pairs ideally with the Chatterbox Punch. For dessert, try the Peranakan Kuehs like the Sago Bandung and Sarang Semut, made fresh daily.
