Almost hidden along the crowded Tanjong Pagar Road, the elegant bar glows with a warmth of authentic hospitality. Co-founder Yugnes Susela was inspired by the vibrancy of Singapore’s Little India, and his drinks reflect the myriad facets of the ethnic enclave.
Start with the featherlight Champa Fizz ($27), made with Woodford Bourbon Reserve, lacto-fermented apple and honey and champa flowers, which are associated with devotion in Hinduism. Also delicious is the savoury Crab Rasam ($29), which features tequila, rasam spice blend, and perhaps most unexpectedly, flower crab.
Fancy a bite? Go for a hotdog or two. The Lamb Dog ($17) is one of the strongest contenders, juicy and bursting with flavour. All dogs come in a freshly toasted garlic ghee bun and a side of spiced fries. Ask for a flight of sauces to get the full experience.
Prices range from $8 for Basket of Fries to $29 for Crab Rasam.
