Takeshita Street

Harajuku is Tokyo’s fashion capital, and Takeshita Street is its beating heart. The long, crowded street is packed end-to-end with clothing and accessory shops, most of them skewing towards more eccentric tastes. The birthplace of kawaii (cuteness) and lolita style and other fashion subcultures, Takeshita Street also conveniently connects the expansive Yoyogi Park to Omotesando, a relatively more sophisticated and subdued fashion hub.
