The iconic flea market that was famously featured in De Sica’s classic 1948 film Bicycle Thieves is still Rome’s biggest and well worth the visit. As well as offering bicycles of dubious origin, there is also a bewildering choice of old books, records, clothes and antiques. Bypass the junk and head straight to the Via Ippolito Nievo section for vintage furniture and prints.
