
Once SKAI Beach Club, now SKAI Bar & Grill, the space at Padma Resort Legian has swapped its party vibe for something more grown-up. Think warm, beachy tones, a few sharp black accents and an infinity pool that blurs into the ocean. It is the kind of place where you could lose a whole afternoon without trying too hard.
The menu plays with Mediterranean and Levantine flavours – hot and cold mezze, baba ganoush, a very good smoked octopus manakish. Bigger plates like roasted lobster tail and lamb côtelette are built for sharing, though the roasted cauliflower holds its own. Dessert is a crisp meringue pavlova, if you are still standing.
Drinks keep things interesting, with cocktails built around figs, dates and other tropical fruit, and a punchy little mocktail called Kitanas Delight – all tangerine, lemon and pineapple.
