The story of Naami Scents Academy began with handcrafted scented products. Since launching the business in 2018, founder Josephine Junaidy has expanded the concept into a multidisciplinary workshop studio where visitors can explore fragrance, beauty, crafts and design through a wide range of hands-on experiences.
A former dentist, Josephine later channelled her passion for fragrance and craftsmanship into building a curriculum informed by more than 40 certifications and training programmes completed across Korea, Japan and France.
What to expect
Visitors can create bespoke perfumes, blend reed diffusers and home fragrances, experiment with solid perfumes and explore more playful concepts such as AI-assisted scent design, where fragrances are personalised according to individual preferences, memories and personality traits.
The academy’s offerings extend well beyond perfumery. Guests can create decorative candles, wax flowers and home-fragrance products, formulate soaps, bath bombs, shampoos and body-care essentials, or try their hand at beauty workshops covering lip balms, lip glosses and other cosmetic products. Naami also offers a non-alcohol perfume workshop, allowing participants to create alcohol-free fragrances using an alternative perfume base. It’s a thoughtful option for those who prefer to avoid alcohol-based perfumes, including people with sensitive skin.
Alongside scent-focused experiences, visitors can explore jewellery-making, resin art, polymer clay, silver jewellery and other creative crafts.
Families travelling with children will find dedicated kid-friendly workshops, while couples and groups of friends can choose from a wide variety of activities tailored to different interests.
Prices start from Rp. 500,000 (approximately S$36), with more advanced and certification courses available at higher rates.
