The rolling hills of the Javanese highlands are perfect for exploring by bicycle, with villages giving way to beautiful rice terraces and volcanic vistas. Finish your tour with a dip in the clear waters of Curug Silawe waterfall.
3. Borobudur
The main attraction in the region, this iconic ninth-century site is the largest Buddhist temple in the world. Hewn from volcanic stone, it features more than 2,600 carved panels and over 500 Buddha statues.
