Japan’s tachinomiya, or standing bars, are a must-visit for their raucous atmosphere, reasonable prices and selection of classic drinks beloved by salarymen, such as shochu and highballs. This little gem in Namba is a great place to rub shoulders with Osakans unwinding after work, share a carafe of sake and scarf down a Kansai speciality called doteyaki – simmered beef sinews.
