An outlier in a city obsessed with spritzes and Negronis, Rita opened in 2002 and quickly became a reference point for Milan’s cocktail scene.
Co-founder Edoardo Nono rejected the artificial syrups common at the time, instead building drinks around fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared in-house.
The same team later opened the excellent Rita’s Tiki Room nearby, bringing a tropical twist to the city’s cocktail repertoire.
