Want to experience the great outdoors without missing out on creature comforts? Glamping is the most comfortable and luxurious way to experience nature

If you love camping but prefer to do it in a comfortable setting, then glamping might be exactly what you’re looking for. With tents that are outfitted with power outlets, fans and even air conditioning, you won’t have to sacrifice your creature comforts. In Singapore, you can hire companies that set up tents that will make you feel like you’re out of town. Take your pick from the lush beachfronts of Pasir Ris or East Coast parks, or perhaps get a bit wild and head to the zoo. If you’re looking for a quick and easy weekend getaway without even leaving the Little Red Dot, here are five of the best glamping providers to check out.

1. Staycation in the Wild

Want a glamping experience that’s completely out of the ordinary? From now till 30 December 2022, Singapore Zoo is hosting glamping staycations that include unique wildlife experiences. The one-night stay ($1,599) is meant for a family of four and includes a spacious dome tent at the Pavilion by the Lake, admission tickets to the zoo, as well as breakfast and dinner at the Forest Lodge. Guests also get to participate in wildlife programmes that include guided tours and feeding sessions with elephants and rhinoceroses. On the last day of the glamping experience, you get to meet the zoo’s mystery animal ambassador.

2. Heavenly Glamping Singapore

Heavenly Glamping offers its luxe experiences in two locations. At the Seaside Glamping@Heritage Chalet in Pasir Ris, you can pick a normal tent ($299) that sleeps five or a big tent ($380)  that sleeps up to eight. All tents include a canopy, picnic table and barbecue pit decorated with fairy lights. (charcoal and barbecue equipment available at $25, food at $55). Alternatively, you can opt for the Dome Tent Special ($400) that sleeps five and also includes an hour of Jacuzzi access at the chalet and rental of five bikes. One of the best perks of camping at Pasir Ris is that there’s plenty of activities available nearby, like prawning, fishing, picnicking and watersports – all of which can be arranged by Heavenly Glamping.

The second location, at East Coast Beach, is perfect for couples who want a more intimate experience. Here, you can opt for the Couple Package which includes a smaller bell tent, a single queen-sized air bed and a pair of battery operated fans.
