Come late spring this year, Copenhagen will welcome an unusual mixed-use development: a recreational urban mountain, CopenHill, perched above a state-of-the-art waste-to-energy plant

CopenHill is an innovative waste-to-energy plant

1. 85m

The height of the building’s apex. It’s also the summit height for the on-site climbing structure, which allows the CopenHill facility to boast one of the world’s tallest artificial climbing walls.

2. 450,000 tons

Amount of waste that the Amager Resource Centre is projected to convert into energy each year, enough to provide 72,000 households with central heating.

CopenHill features its own ski slope on the roof

3. 10,000m²

Size of the rooftop ski park. Served by four ski lifts, the 450m-long piste has varying inclines of 14% to 45%, and also offers a freestyle park and a timed slalom course.

Singapore Airlines flies to Copenhagen six times weekly. To book a flight, visit singaporeair.com
