Singapore’s hotel scene is booming, with new openings popping up at full speed. The latest crop of stylish stays, from secluded luxury resorts to trendy boutique hotels, are great for business, leisure or “bleisure”. Whether you need a room close to iconic attractions or prefer to unwind amidst lush greenery away from the city, these hotels offer prime locations, modern amenities and everything you need to kick off your Lion City adventure.
1. Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree
It’s been an exciting year for Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Not only has it opened its fifth and newest park Rainforest Wild Asia, it now houses the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. The 338-room retreat which launched in March marks Banyan Tree’s inaugural resort on our shores and features a biophilic design that blends with the forestscape, dreamt up by the award-winning Wow Architects. Just a short stroll from the parks, it’s the perfect base for those looking for wildlife adventures and to connect with nature.

The resort’s standout feature is its 24 striking seed pod-inspired Treehouses, each with private patios that offer lush views of tropical greenery and the serene Upper Seletar Reservoir. Guests staying here also get exclusive access to a nest-inspired pool, next to a five-storey resort building that houses 314 naturally vented guest rooms and suites, the rooftop garden and infinity pool, as well as the renowned Banyan Tree Spa. Other facilities include the Rangers’ Club for young ones, the Banyan Tree Gallery gift shop with locally inspired merchandise and a 24-hour gym.
All-day dining destination Planter’s Shed serves a buffet spread for lunch and dinner with local and international cuisine (with live stations and roving tableside service) and an a la carte lunch menu. For something more refined, speciality restaurant Forage offers an elegant setting with full-length windows and reservoir views. Its “Trust the Chef” menu showcases fresh, daily sourced ingredients, including produce from the resort’s rooftop edible garden. Smart casual attire is expected here.
2. Raffles Sentosa Singapore
Discover a world of tranquil luxury at Raffles Sentosa Singapore, one of the buzziest openings of the year. Launched in March, the island’s first and only all-villa resort offers a private hilltop sanctuary ensconced by lush tropical gardens.
Its 62 private pool villas range from one-bedroom pool villas (211 sqm) to the four-bedroom Royal Villa (650 sqm), which can be connected to two one-bedroom villas to create a sanctuary for groups up to 12 people. Each boasts a generous outdoor terrace (perfect for dining al fresco by the private pool), expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and the signature Raffles Butler service to cater to your every need. Soon to open is the Raffles Sentosa Spa, housed in a historical building with amenities including 12 treatment rooms, a 22m lap pool, outdoor whirlpool, indoor hot and cold pools and a fitness centre.

You won’t be short on dining options either, with five F&B outlets on the premises. The resort’s signature Empire Grill offers authentic Tuscan fare with a modern approach while Iyasaka by Hashida takes you on an inventive Japanese omakase journey. Over at Royal China, expect refined Cantonese cuisine and at Raffles Room, there are light bites and refreshments amidst a charming colonial setting. Need a nightcap? Park yourself at the Chairman’s Room and take your pick from a curation of whiskies, cognacs and fine wines. Be sure to sample their signature Sentosa Sling cocktail, a tropical take on the iconic Singapore Sling.
3. The Laurus Singapore
Taking the place of Hard Rock Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa, The Laurus Singapore is a new, upscale, all-suite resort set to open in October 2025. Its opening will mark Marriot International’s The Luxury Collection’s first hotel in Singapore.

The all-suite destination features Deluxe and Premier Suites (from 72 sqm) to the Presidential Suite, each designed in a serene colour palette, boasting timeless elegance by Bangkok-based interior design firm P49 Deesign that pays tribute to Singapore’s rich dual heritage as a colonial setting and tropical destination. Plush bedding and curated furnishings amp up the luxe appeal. Epicureans can look forward to a new all-day-dining concept that showcases sustainably sourced ingredients from Asian farmers, complemented by a stylish bar. The five-storey property will also offer a variety of amenities, including courtyard spaces, a function room, a fully equipped gym, rejuvenating spa and not one, but three swimming pools.

4. Mama Shelter Singapore
French hospitality brand Mama Shelter is set to land in Singapore – its first Asian address – in August 2025, and it will be wooing guests with its signature blend of exuberant design and playful charisma imbued with local flavour. The 115-room hotel envisioned by French design studio Dion & Arles will be located along Killiney Road and features eight room types to choose from. These are categorised into two: Small rooms (15 sqm), and Medium rooms (17 sqm), with select Small rooms featuring bunk beds. Each room can accommodate two people and comes with soft bedding, organic toiletries and a smart TV for movies on demand.

Just like a family home, the vibrant and eclectic Restaurant & Bar is at the heart of it all – envisioned as a space for people to gather, share meals and enjoy events. Here, expect home-style Mama signatures. For a casual alfresco vibe, make your way to the Rooftop (where there are two pools) for Mediterranean-style dishes, pizzas and signature cocktails. Or if it’s a quick bite and caffeine you’re after, there’s Mama’s Kiss, a coffee corner with pastries, cakes and hot beverages.
5. Mett Singapore
Formerly the Hotel Fort Canning (and originally constructed in 1926 as the British Far East Command Headquarters), this storied landmark is set to be transformed into Mett Singapore, with its reopening slated for October 2025. Operated by Dubai-based Sunset Hospitality Group, the rebranded hotel will reflect Mett’s signature minimalist aesthetic and fuss-free service, along with revitalised public areas and meeting facilities.

The existing swimming pool will be reimagined with a beach club concept, accompanied by a new speakeasy. Guests can also expect three to four distinctive dining concepts that are yet to be announced. Given the brand’s global portfolio – which includes the renowned Sushisamba, now open in Singapore – we’re definitely keeping our eyes peeled.
6. Grand Hyatt Singapore
Following a two-year overhaul, Grand Hyatt Singapore has progressively reopened its doors starting in July last year with its nature-inspired Terrace Wing. The 292 Terrace Wing rooms (from 42 sqm) blend resort-style comfort with chic modernity: think soothing neutral tones with ice-green marble accents and warm wooden furnishings in line with the wing’s garden theme. Thoughtful additions include a cosy daybed in the window alcove, a dual-sink vanity, Balmain bath amenities and a functional multi-purpose table. Five new 1-King Bed Premium with Garden Access rooms offer direct access to the gardens and pools while the three expansive Presidential Suites (252 sqm) with dedicated living, entertainment and dining areas, are perfect for private functions or indulgent downtime.

Beloved dining spots like Italian restaurant Pete’s Place and halal buffet destination Straits Kitchen have made a celebrated return. Meanwhile, the sophisticated Le Pristine Singapore, helmed by Michelin-starred Dutch chef Sergio Herman, has taken over the former Mezza9. Damai Spa has also reopened as a new wellness destination, featuring facilities including a dual therapy sauna, air lounge, hydro pool and a state-of-the-art Fitness Centre. Their innovative treatments, designed with wellbeing in mind, are also not to be missed. Be sure to check out the wellness pool and 25m lap pool in the outdoor area as well.
7. The Standard, Singapore
The Standard, Singapore officially started welcoming guests in December 2024 but is still one of the newest, chicest hotels in the city. Situated along Orange Grove Road with 143 stylish rooms and suites, it’s nestled between the tranquil Botanical Gardens and bustling Orchard Road shopping belt so you get the best of both worlds. Curated by Standard International’s acclaimed in-house design team in collaboration with Ministry of Design, it’s a mix of mid-century modern and playful, contemporary touches.
Choose from a selection of accommodation across eight floors, be it a cosy 23 sqm studio or a roomier 43 sqm retreat. All rooms feature full-height windows (with pool or city views) and creature comforts, from rain showers to Nespresso machines, Bang & Olufsen bluetooth speakers, smart TVs and mini bars.

The hotel’s culinary offerings are equally stellar. The vibey Café Standard serves elevated all-day American bistro fare, alongside signature cocktails, craft beers and indulgent milkshakes. Meanwhile, Kaya at The Standard reimagines the traditional Japanese izakaya with bold flavours and an innovative cocktail programme. As evening falls, the atmosphere shifts, becoming a sultry hotspot embodying the vibrant, nightlife energy of The Standard brand. Alternatively, kick back at the pool, surrounded by lush greenery, sipping cocktails as the sun sets and mellow beats set the mood.
8. QT Singapore
Housed in a beautifully preserved heritage building built in 1927, QT Singapore’s interiors – crafted by Australian design studio Nic Graham & Associates – seamlessly blend Neo-classical architecture with the QT brand’s signature flair: think bold colours and whimsical details alongside subtle nods to Singapore’s cultural tapestry.

Draped in rich hues and evoking understated opulence, each of the 134 rooms and suites offers thoughtful amenities for an indulgent stay from Dyson hair dryers and Kevin Murphy toiletries to wireless Bose speakers and iPad-controlled room settings.
While you’re there, swing by Manhattan-style steakhouse Cygnet, helmed by award-winning chef and restaurateur Sean Connolly, for premium cuts, fresh oysters and New York-inspired cocktails. Upstairs, Rooftop by QT invites guests to unwind with stellar city views, refreshing cocktails and vibrant Mexican-inspired bites – perfect for sunset lounging or a lively night out.
9. Handwritten Collection (Waterloo)
A new hotel under the Handwritten Collection brand by hospitality group Accor is set to make its presence felt along Waterloo Street later this year when it opens in December. Nestled in the heart of Singapore’s civic district and surrounded by a rich tapestry of arts and cultural landmarks, it offers guests an ideal launchpad to explore the area’s vibrant creative scene and historic religious sites such as the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple.

The 502-room property follows the successful debut of sister property Hotel Faber Park Singapore – Handwritten Collection, which opened in late 2023, marking the continued expansion of the brand in the region. Design is expected to be modern and cozy and the property will focus on curating authentic experiences for their guests.
10. Cube Social @ Boat Quay
With a mix of affordability, smart design and social potential, capsule hotels are becoming a draw with a new wave of travellers. One such brand is the homegrown Cube Boutique Capsule Hotels, which opened its fourth hotel Cube Social @ Boat Quay in 2024. Centrally located along the Singapore River, it’s a great base for exploring the city, with an array of restaurants and buzzy nightlife spots in the area.

The three-storey hotel houses 72 capsules with queen and single bed options, plus features like noise insulation, temperature control, a universal power outlet and a reading light. If you’re seeking more space, check into one of the 13 private rooms (from 118 to 323 sqm) that are designed with families and small groups in mind. And for female travellers looking for privacy, there’s a separate ladies-only section with 20 beds.
It’s not just a place to rest your head – Cube Social @ Boat Quay is also all about forging connections. Guests can mingle at the bar, have a go at board games or unwind at the outdoor verandah with river views.
