This low-key but sophisticated bar has been quietly producing some of the city’s best whisky-based cocktails since it opened in 2014. Architect Diao Wei, who designed the stylish but homely venue, works on a mezzanine above the bar. Creative concoctions such as the Grand Fashioned (a blood orange-based slant on the classic cocktail) make Bar No 3 stand out even in Shanghai’s packed cocktail scene.
