Get an early start at Ta Prohm, a temple complex overgrown with enormous tree roots, and marvel at how nature and history coexist. Angkor Wat is a must; do also visit Bayon Temple, which has towers that bear massive stone faces.

Try Khmer Grill Restaurant (Watdomnak Rd) for traditional comfort food. If you’re into fusion fare, check out Mie Café (85 Phum Treng Khum Slorgram) – you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the young chef’s creativity!
Where do you go for some downtime?
The spas in the Old Market area are great for a rubdown after a day of temple-hopping.
